چکیده

Abstract Biodiesel is gaining importance as a substitute for diesel with special focus on the transportation sector due to its advantages over petroleum‐based alternatives. Waste fish oil was used feedstock this study, and an acid pre‐esterification process examined. The effects of three main variables biodiesel yield were studied their combined investigated. Temperature, molar ratio, catalysts varied remaining parameters kept constant. A quadratic model found fit experimental data best, regression coefficient 0.82. An increase in reaction temperature led yield. However, became considerably weaker after 323 K. reactant ratio amount had similar tendency within domain under consideration – product increased all operational conditions evaluated. It that optimal predict 96.29% 325.53 K, 8.37, 3.93 wt% catalyst. © 2022 Authors. Biofuels, Bioproducts Biorefining published by Society Industrial Chemistry John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Sulfonated porous carbon catalyzed esterification of free fatty acids

The esterification of free fatty acids (FFA) with methanol is studied using Sulfonated Porous Carbon (SPC) as catalyst. In compare to the amorphous sugar catalyst and protonated Nafion, the proposed catalyst shows stability and high efficient performance in biodiesel production. The highest initial rate of oleic acid conversion is obtained at catalyst loading of 1 mmol H+ and mole ra...

Ultrasonic free fatty acids esterification in tobacco and canola oil.

Ultrasound accelerates the free fatty acids esterification rate by reducing the mass transfer resistance between methanol in the liquid phase and absorbed organic species on Amberlyst®46 catalyst. The reaction rates of canola oil is three times greater than for tobacco seed oil but half the reaction rate of pure oleic acid as measured in a batch reactor. The beneficial effects of ultrasound vs....

determination of maximal singularity free zones in the workspace of parallel manipulator

due to the limiting workspace of parallel manipulator and regarding to finding the trajectory planning of singularity free at workspace is difficult, so finding a best solution that can develop a technique to determine the singularity-free zones in the workspace of parallel manipulators is highly important. in this thesis a simple and new technique are presented to determine the maximal singula...
